What We Like About The Bowflex Max Trainer M7
There is a reason why the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 is rated as the best Max Trainer around. It is because it has so many features and aspects that people everywhere really seem to like. Let’s talk about some of the things that we like the most about the Bowflex Max Trainer M7.
One of the things about the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 that we love is that it has 11 different workout programs, more than any other Max Trainer out there. This is great because it lets you choose from various workout programs to suit your exact exercise needs of the day. The Bowflex Max Trainer M7 comes with programs such as 7-minute interval, 14-minute interval, 21-minute interval, power interval, calorie goal, steady pace, fat burn, calorie burn, stairs, fitness test, and manual. The fact that you have so much variety in terms of workout options is definitely a bonus.
Something else that we really like about the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 is that it has 20 different levels of resistance. The resistance provided by this piece of equipment is very smooth and reliable, something we can all appreciate. The resistance on the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 can be easily adjusted with the LCD computer display, as opposed to other models that require you to turn the resistance dial. The bottom line is that the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 is ideal for all fitness levels thanks to the extremely large variety of resistance levels that come with it.
Yet another thing that we like about the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 is that it comes with great high performance pedals. The pedals on this device are racing pedals, which means that they are designed for quick movement, heavy use, and designed to provide you with optimal grip. On that same note, the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 also comes with static handlebars with integrated pulse sensors so you can keep track of your cardiovascular output. It even comes with motion handlebars with amazing grip on them. These are ideal for giving you a great upper body workout every time you step onto the Bowflex Max Trainer M7.
The LCD & LED display of the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 is another thing that we really like. This intuitive display is very easy to navigate, easy to control, and it is backlit, so it is always easy to read too. The display will help you keep track of things such as pace, speed, calories burned, distance, cardio output, time, and several other fitness metrics too. Even better is that the display is Bluetooth compatible, so you can upload your data to various fitness apps, create spreadsheets, keep track of goals, and engage in competitions too. Perhaps the neatest part of this console is that it is intuitive, it learns from the user, and automatically adjusts goals and workouts to your needs and fitness level as it sees fit.
Finally, we also really like the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 because it has a solid stainless steel build, along with some other very high-quality materials. The bottom line is that this particular Max Trainer has a high 300-pound weight limit, it is very durable, and fairly stable as well.
What We Don’t Like About The Bowflex Max Trainer M7
We do have a couple of bones to pick when it comes to the Bowflex Max Trainer M7, so let’s get right to it.
For anyone who can afford it, it may not be a big deal, but when all is said and done, the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 will cost you close to $2,500 (with included assembly fees), which is no small price tag by any means.
Just like other Bowflex Max Trainer models, the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 tends to become somewhat loud and squeaky after prolonged use. You will need to lubricate regularly in order to overcome this problem.
Alternatives To The Bowflex Max Trainer M7
To give you a reference point, let’s talk about some of the other Bowflex Max Trainer options that you could go with.
Bowflex Max Trainer M3
The Bowflex Max Trainer M3 is going to cost you a substantial amount less than the M7, about $1,200 in fact. However, the M7 is of course the best rated option seeing as it has close to 3 times as many resistance levels and way more workout programs too. The Bowflex Max Trainer M7 seems to be more stable and more durable as well. Moreover, the M7 is Bluetooth capable, whereas the M3 is not. Also, the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 comes with pulse sensors in the static handlebars, upgraded racing pedals, and has more user profiles too. The only upside of the M3, when compared to the M7, is that it is slightly smaller and lighter, plus much less expensive too.
Bowflex Max Trainer M5
The M5 is like the middle ground version between the M3 and M7. The Bowflex Max Trainer M5 has 16 resistance levels and 9 workout programs, whereas the M7 has 20 resistance levels and 11 workout programs. The M7 and M5 do both have Bluetooth capabilities, motion handlebars, static handlebars with pulse grip sensors, and both have the same weight capacity too. The M7 does have slightly more ergonomically friendly grips, plus slightly better pedals as well. The M5 is a few hundred bucks cheaper than the M7, plus it is a little bit lighter and smaller as well.
Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer
Once again, we thought it would be a good idea to add an elliptical trainer into the mix as they are fairly similar in their own ways. In terms of price, both the Sole E95 and the M7 are almost identical. Of course, they will work out your muscles in a slightly different way, but both do their respective jobs very well. The Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer is a very high-quality top of the line elliptical machine with very smooth and quiet magnetic resistance, over 20 levels of it in fact. Also, the Sole E95 is an upgraded version of the Sole E35 Elliptical Trainer. In other words, this thing is very durable, has lots of resistance levels, lots of preset programs and user profiles, and a ton of extras like fans, speakers, data export, and much more. Once again, this is an elliptical machine, so it is much bigger and much heavier than the Bowflex Max Trainer M7.
Final Thoughts On The Bowflex Max Trainer M7
The bottom line is that the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 is a fantastic option to go with. Sure, it may cost a little bit more than the other Bowflex Max Trainer choices out there, but it also has more features. A strong build, stability, a large number of workout programs, resistance levels, and user profiles, plus awesome racing pedals, stationary and moving arms, and an awesome LCD/LED display that learns from you as you use it all make the Bowflex Max Trainer M7 an awesome choice to consider.
