What We Like About The LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer

There are a few different things which we really like about the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer, so let’s talk about those in some more detail right now.

Perhaps the best part about the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer is that it comes with motion handlebars. The handlebars are synced to move perfectly in unison with the pedals for a great full body workout. Unlike other upright bikes which only allow you to get a cardio workout and exercise your legs, this one allows you to work out your upper body at the very same time. It’s a more comprehensive workout routine, which is somebody that everybody can appreciate.

Another thing that we really like about the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer is that it can technically provide you with unlimited resistance. The large diameter steel fan is very smooth and constant in its delivery of resistance. Moreover, even though you can’t really adjust the resistance level, the harder you pedal the more resistance there is. Therefore, the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer provides more than enough resistance for even the most seasoned of cardio veterans.

Yet another aspect of the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer that we really like is how the whole thing is built tough and built to function smoothly. The steel tubing ensures that the frame is of top-notch quality, and the use of over 20 sealed ball bearings ensures that all of the moving parts move very smoothly. When it comes to fan resistance bikes, the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer is definitely one of the very best out there.

Something else that we like about the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer is that the seat is highly adjustable. It can be adjusted for height, forward and backward, and its tilt can be adjusted as well. There is also the fact that the seat is very large and well-padded to keep your behind from getting sore.

The other thing that we like about the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer is that it comes with a simple yet effective LCD display. It can easily keep track of things like distance, speed, time, RPM, and more. It also comes with a few different programs and workout settings that you can follow to help you achieve your fitness goals quickly and with ease.

What We Don’t Like About The LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer

There are a couple of minor issues that we have with the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer which do need to be mentioned.

One of the issues that we have with the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer is that it is very loud. There is just no getting around the fact that fan resistance systems are noisy.

We also do not like how the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer is lacking some essential features. Not having a fan, speakers, many workout programs, Bluetooth, and various other neat features might not be such a big deal if this was not supposed to be a high end option that costs over $1,000.

Alternatives To The LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer

To give you a good reference point, let’s talk about some of the other high-end upright exercise bikes that you can take a look at.

Sole Fitness LCB Upright Bike

The Sole Fitness LCB Upright Bike is currently rated as one of the overall best upright fitness bikes out there. It comes with a ridiculous number of magnetic resistance levels, lots of workout programs, it has a high user weight capacity, it’s comfortable and highly adjustable, and has tons of bonus features too. It is of course very different from the LifeCORE Assault Air Trainer because it has magnetic resistance, while the Assault Air Trainer uses fan resistance. Also, the Assault Air Trainer does have the advantage of providing you with a lower as well as an upper body workout thanks to the motion handlebars.

Schwinn 170 Upright Exercise Bike

This is another good alternative to consider. This bike is actually quite similar to the Sole Fitness LCB. The differences with the motion handlebars and the fan resistance system are the same here too. The Schwinn 170 uses magnetic resistance, not fan based resistance, plus it has stationary handlebars, not motion handlebars. However, the Schwinn 170 does have 25 levels of resistance, 19 workout programs, is durable, and has lots of extra features too. Essentially, the Schwinn is meant for a comfortable yet strenuous cardio workout, whereas the Assault Air Bike is intended more for a comprehensive full body workout.

Final Thoughts On The LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer

While the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer may not have the fanciest features of all the high end models, it does have some clear advantages. The fact that it has motion handlebars for an upper body workout is a clear advantage. Also, having technically unlimited resistance is another big aspect here. If you need a comprehensive upper and lower body cardio workout, but don’t need speakers and all of that other fancy stuff, the LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer might be perfect for you.
