What We Like About The Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer

There are several things which are quite impressive about the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer, especially considering that it is one of the more affordable high end elliptical trainers on the market today.

We like the fact that the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer has a high 300-pound weight capacity, plus the whole elliptical is made of high-quality parts. It features two integrated levelers as well as two center supports for the frame. This is combined with the large crossbar tubing which helps to reinforce the whole machine, plus to add stability too. All in all, this is a very durable and high-quality elliptical trainer.

Something else that we really like about the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer is that it has 25 levels of resistance. This is great because it means that you can get an awesome challenge every time you step onto it. The resistance is of the magnetic type and it uses a heavily weighted high speed flywheel in order to provide you with a very smooth and ultra-quiet elliptical workout routine. The resistance can easily be changed using the console. On that same note, the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer also features a motorized adjustable incline from 0 to 11 degrees, thus adding to your workout challenge even more.

We also really like the display console included on the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer. It is a dual track backlit LCD display that is easy to read and simple to navigate. It can display up to 13 fitness metrics such as time, speed, strides per minute, distance, calories burned, total times, and much more. The display also features a USB charging port for your devices, which is combined with acoustic chambered speakers for your enjoyment. The Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer also has data export capabilities to the Nautilus fitness app as well as other mobile fitness apps. The Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer is even Bluetooth compatible. Even better is the fact that the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer comes with 29 different workout programs for you to choose from.

Finally, we also like the dual function handlebars included on the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer. They are great because the static handlebars let you focus on your legs and lower body, while also have a heart pulse sensor integrated into them. Also, if you want to focus more on your arms and upper body, you can use the motion handlebars, which are well-padded. To increase your comfort even more, the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer also features large padded foot plates that pivot to fit your natural stride all throughout your elliptical routine.

What We Don’t Like About The Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer

There are a couple of things which could be improved upon with the Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer. However, considering that it comes in at a great price, these are really only minor drawbacks. The Nautilus E616 Elliptical Trainer is lucky to have as many features as it does for the bargain it comes at.

We don’t like how the Nautilus is quite heavy and space consuming. This is unavoidable to a certain degree when it comes to high end elliptical machines, but for assembly and housing it, it is somewhat of a pain.

Something else that we don’t like about the Nautilus E616 is that the tracking system seems to underreport how many calories have been burned. This is not always the case, but some people have noted that this elliptical trainer undercounts the calories you have burned.

Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer

The Sole E95 Elliptical Trainer is a lot more expensive than the Nautilus E616, more than $1,000 more expensive, but the features do speak to this.
