What We Like About The Nautilus U616 Upright Bike

There are quite a few things which we like about the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike, so let’s go over those right now.

One of the things that we really like about the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike is that it comes with lots of workout programs to help you achieve your goals. It comes with a total of 29 programs including 9 profile programs, 8 heart rate control programs, 2 custom programs, 2 fitness tests and one quick start program. 29 programs is about as many as you can expect to see on any quality stationary upright bike.

Something else that we like about the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike is that it comes with 25 levels of smooth magnetic resistance. All of the components related to the resistance system are very high-quality, built for a smooth ride, and constant tension delivery too. This magnetic resistance system is very quiet so you can still hear what is going on around you. Moreover, the resistance can be easily adjusted using the digital display.

Yet another thing that we like about the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike is that it comes with an awesome dual track LCD display. It is easy to read and even easier to navigate. It can keep track of many different fitness aspects such as speed, time, distance, calories, RPM, and more. It can even keep track of your heart rate thanks to the integrated heartbeat sensors in the handlebars, plus it is chest strap enable too.

The display also has a USB charging port for your devices, an MP3 jack, and built in acoustic chambered speakers as well. The display is also Bluetooth compatible so you can connect to your smart devices and engage in data export and fitness tracking with the Nautilus connect app.

We also like how the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike features a frame with thick steel tubing for durability. For increased longevity, the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike also comes with large crossbar tubing. Plus, for stability, it features adjustable stabilizers too.

The other thing that we really like about the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike is that it has a large oversized seat with great padding and an ergonomic design. Your butt definitely will not become painful while riding the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike. Moreover, the seat is fully adjustable in terms of its position to suit users of varying sizes. On that same note, the pedals are also designed to be comfortable, plus they have a good grip pattern as well as straps for safety.

What We Don’t Like About The Nautilus U616 Upright Bike

There are a couple of minor issues that need to be mentioned when it comes to the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike.

Some people have noted that the pedals may loosen a little bit and require re-tightening when the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike is used on a regular basis.

Some people have also noted how the Nautilus Connect app is somewhat hard to navigate and not all that useful either.

Alternatives To The Nautilus U616 Upright Bike

To give you a point of comparison, let’s look at some of the other high end upright bike models that you can take into consideration.

Sole Fitness LCB Upright Bike

The key difference between these two models is that the Sole Fitness LCB has many more levels of resistance. On the other hand, the Nautilus U616 has quite a few more workout programs. Moreover, the Sole Fitness model has a higher user weight limit and a slightly more durable frame too. Other than those things both models are fairly similar. They both have Bluetooth and fitness apps to connect to, they both have MP3 capabilities and speakers, and they both have adjustable cooling fans too. The Nautilus is a bit less expensive than the Sole Fitness LCB.

LifeCORE Fitness Assault Air Bike Trainer

These two models are very different indeed. The LifeCORE is an air fan resistance bike with near unlimited resistance potential. While the resistance cannot be adjusted, it gets harder the faster you pedal. On the other hand, the Nautilus U616 uses magnetic resistance with 25 adjustable levels. The key difference here is in the resistance system. Also, the LifeCORE model has motion handlebars which allow for an upper body workout, something which the Nautilus does not have. Also, the Nautilus has a number of workout programs and a great LCD display, both of which are virtually non-existent with the LifeCORE model. Moreover, the Nautilus U616 has many extra features like a fan, speakers, and Bluetooth which the LifeCORE Assault Air Bike does not have.

Final Thoughts On The Nautilus U616 Upright Bike

At the end of the day, the Nautilus U616 Upright Bike is indeed one of the best high end models to take into account. It comes with everything you need for a challenging cardio routine and much more. It’s durable, comfortable, and has a whole bunch of features that help make your daily routine fun and comfortable, but challenging too.
