Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym Review

The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is a pretty good high end home gym option to consider. It is more than enough for beginner and intermediate lifters, it has quite a bit of weight stack resistance, lots of exercise choices, and is built durable too. This is a fairly expensive choice to go with, but in our opinion, the price is well worth the investment.

The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is about average in terms of size, but it is quite heavy. It is not the smallest or the largest high end home gym, nor is it the heaviest or lightest. It is just kind of average. That being said, it still weighs a good few hundred pounds, so it is not like you are going to be moving it around very much.

  • Width: 40 inches
  • Height: 84 inches
  • Weight: 550+ pounds

Warranty

We do really like the fact that the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym comes with a residential lifetime warranty on the frame and all parts. The warranty is not as good if the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is being used for commercial purposes, but we are here to talk about home gyms.

Assembly

Assembling the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is a bit of a pain. You will need to get some of your own tools and the instructions are fairly straightforward. However, the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is pretty big and heavy, so simply putting all of the parts together is going to take a fair amount of time. Two people should be able to put it together in a couple of hours, or you can always pay for in-home assembly too.

What We Like About The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym

There are a few things that we do really like about the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym, so let’s talk about those features in some detail.

We do like how the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym allows for quite a wide variety of exercises to be done on it. Between, high pulley station, the multi-function press arms, the low pulley with a seated rowing bar, the ab crunch function, the multi-function leg developer, and the optional leg press and abdominal bar, you get one heck of a workout. No, this is not the most comprehensive home gym of all, but it will certainly allow you to work out all of your major muscle groups.

The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym also comes with an aluminum revolving easy curl bar, strap handles, and ankle straps too. On a side note, the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym does have a 210-pound weight stack, which is ideal for beginners and intermediate lifters.

Another thing that we really like about the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is that it comes with an orthopedic grade seat and backrest. Both of these items are specifically designed to be ergonomically friendly and to reinforce good form, as well as to reinforce the natural shape of your back. In other words, not only is this well-padded and vinyl covered seat comfortable, but it directly contributes to the way you do your exercises.

The next thing that we love about the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is that it is built tough and built to last for a very long time. The steel frame is extremely durable, plus it is powder coated as well. Also, the cables are aircraft grade and have a tensile strength of 2,000 pounds. The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym also has a very high weight limit. All in all, while the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is fairly expensive, it does come with a very high level of quality.

What We Don’t Like About The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym

The only real issue we have with the Inspire Fitness M3 is that it seems to be a little overpriced. There are several other high end home gym options out there that cost less and deliver more.

Alternatives To The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym

So you know what you are getting yourself into, let’s talk about some of the other high end home gym models out there.

Bowflex Revolution Home Gym

The Bowflex Revolution is definitely a good alternative to the Inspire Fitness M3. What is kind of interesting is that the Bowflex Revolution actually costs less than the Inspire Fitness M3. This is interesting because the Bowflex Revolution Home Gym has more workout options and a higher amount of weight resistance too. Simply put, you get quite a bit more with the Bowflex Revolution for a lower price. However, at the end of the day, they do both make for good options. One thing that can be said is that the Bowflex Revolution is quite a big bigger than the Inspire M3.

Marcy Diamond Elite Smith Cage

Another good alternative, the Marcy Diamond Elite Smith Cage is much less expensive than the Inspire Fitness M3, which is true even after you have to buy the separate weights for the Smith cage. It is also interesting that the Marcy Diamond Smith Cage is much less expensive than the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym, yet it can provide you with way more weight resistance, plus it allows for just as many exercise possibilities, if not more of them. The Marcy Smith Cage is big, but it is very functional.

Final Thoughts On The Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym

There is no doubt that the Inspire Fitness M3 Home Gym is a really good choice to go with. However, it is very expensive for what you get. It is worth the investment if you want a good long term weight lifting tool, but the investment is pretty steep. Yes, it has a good size, it has lots of exercise choices, and a decent amount of weight in the stack. However, it might not be ideal for really serious lifters as the weight stack does only go up to 210 pounds.
